RedSpartan is a compliance framework. It will allow individuals and organizations to input a requirement set, conduct and track interviews, provide procedures for documentation review and site visits and lastly manage output from tools like Nessus, Lynis and others. RedSpartan will provide a means to track findings and remediation activities, artifact and evidence management and a flexible reporting functionality for organizations with specific needs.

There are plans to release a Community Edition (for non-profit and testing purposes) and an Enterprise edition. The Community Edition will contain a limited number of requirement sets, test cases, procedures and the reporting functionality will not be as extensive.

Things have been delayed due to timing and availability of the project lead so instead of a private alpha in Q3 2009 it has been pushed to Q1 2010. That alpha test will drive further previews or releases.
